Undergraduate Programs: Elementary Education 

From 2022-2026, most MC candidates earned state licensure by passing the Praxis II Elementary Education (K-6): Content Area and Principles of Learning & Teaching (K-6) exams, exceeding the state and national accreditation requirement of 80%. Teacher candidates at MC are not required to pass the Praxis II exams to complete the degree program, but the exam is required for state licensure. Below are the most recent pass rates for program completers. 

* Due to COVID-19, the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) implemented a testing waiver for all educator licensure testing through December 31, 2021, with some exceptions for 2022-2023 completers. The 2022-2023 completer test data is not reported because some students were exempt from licensure exams.

Graduate Programs: Educational Leadership (M.Ed. & Ed.S.)

Educational Leadership School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) Results 

The SLLA exam is required for all candidates in the M.Ed. and Ed.S. Educational Leadership graduate programs seeking an endorsement in Administration and School Leadership with the state of Mississippi.
