Earn Your Communication Degree

Mississippi College’s Accelerated Degree Program (ADP) in Communication is for students who are interested in completing their undergraduate degree in an intense, accelerated format. The communication courses are offered at night and online. Students must also be admissible through regular admissions standards.

A communication major is a highly interdisciplinary major that prepares students for careers in public relations consulting or political campaign management and for graduate programs ranging from law school to seminary.

You will have the opportunity to develop speaking, writing and public presentation skills while learning more about the theory and practice of media.

The MC Experience

The Department of Communication at MC embraces a teaching philosophy that melds theory and practice. While students delve deeply into the foundational underpinnings of communication and study the history of the media, they also develop concrete skills through lots of opportunities for practical application. So graduates are well-prepared for their future careers with theoretical training and impressive portfolios.

Join the Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM), an organization of 550 professionals from advertising, education, government, not-for-profit organizations, PR firms and more.

As part of the MC Experience, our accelerated undergraduate students in Communication are able to take up to 12 hours per semester during two eight-week sessions. These classes are offered to accommodate the busy schedules of working adults and are offered online as well as available on the Clinton campus.
