Main Campus Visitation Guidelines 

  • A resident can only have guests with the expressed permission of his/her roommate.
    • Problems in this area will be addressed by Residence Life Staff.
  • All guests should enter only through the main entrance to the lobby.
  • All guests must sign-in with the Desk Assistant working in the lobby.
    • The resident and the guest must present their IDs and the ID of the guest will remain at the desk until sign-out.
  • Each resident is allowed to sign in a maximum of two guests at a time.
    • Each resident will be held responsible for their guests and the actions of their guests.
    • All guests must abide by the rules and regulations of the college.
    • Guests must be escorted at all times by the resident they are visiting.
    • Guests should remain in the room of the resident they have signed-in with.
      • If the guest and the residents desire to visit another room, they must go change their location on the sign-in sheet at the lobby desk.
  • All room doors should remain open, with the overhead light (or 3 sources of light) on, and no one should lie on a bed in a room.
  • All guests and residents should be fully clothed.
  • Guests of the opposite gender should use designated restroom facilities in the lobby.
    • If there is no restroom in the lobby, the guest must sign-out of the building to go use the restroom in another building.
  • The contact number of the Resident Assistant on-call during visitation will be posted at the lobby desk.

College Plaza and University Place Visitation Guidelines

    • Each resident will be held responsible for their guests and the actions of their guests.
    • All guests must abide by the rules and regulations of the college.
    • Guests must be escorted at all times by the resident they are visiting.
    • Guests should remain in the room of the resident they have signed-in with.
      • If the guest and the residents desire to visit another room, they must go change their location on the sign-in sheet.
  • In College Plaza the blinds must remain open during visitation while there are opposite gender guests. In University Place the front door to the apartment must remain open/unlocked while there are opposite gender guests.
  • No opposite gender guests are allowed in the apartment bedrooms.
  • All guests and residents should be fully clothed.
  • Guests of the opposite gender can only use the restroom if they let the other residents know they are using the restroom. No one else needs to be in the area of the restroom while guest is using it.  
  • The contact number of the Resident Assistant on-call during visitation will be posted.
  • The on-call Resident Assistant will make periodic rounds of the halls and report any irregularity to the on-call Residence Life Staff Member.
