Hope Vandersteen

Hello! Hola! Bonjour! Nǐ Hǎo! Salem! Namaste! Guten Tag! Salut! Shalom!

Or in the local language, Hi Y’all!

I am the Intensive English Program Coordinator, and I am excited about all things international!  Studying other cultures, countries, and languages has always been a passion of mine.  I look forward to knowing and serving all of our international students at Mississippi College.

About Me

I have been a resident of the wonderful city of Clinton for over 25 years.  I earned my undergraduate degree in English Education from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.  I attended Mississippi College and earned my M.A. in TESOL.  The title of my thesis is "A Study of Native and Non-native Input on Discourse and Discrete Features in L2 Writing."  Check it out at the Library!
