Spring Break Trip to South Africa

Join Professors Beth Stapleton, Susan Lassiter, and Rob Ward on the ExploreSouth Africa tour during MC’s 2015 Spring Break.  Departure is Thursday, March 5 with return on Saturday, March 14.  This trip is open to all MC students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community friends.  We depart from Jackson, connecting in Atlanta then straight to Johannesburg, South Africa.  Our tour begins with a full day of touring in Jo-Burg, with a special visit to Soweto and the Apartheid Museum.  From Johannesburg, we travel to the Kruger National Park and check into our safari lodge in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve.  We will have daily game drives in the park to spot the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino). From the game reserve, we fly to Cape Town to visit one of the most beautiful cities in the continent.  We visit the iconic Table Mountain, tour the city highlights, and head to Cape Point to see the penguins and the merging of the Indian and Atlantic oceans.  From Cape Town, we fly back to Johannesburg before returning to the USA.  Cost is $4375 per person (double rooms).  We are accepting registration forms and deposits now.  More information is provided below, or visit for detailed itinerary and enrollment forms.  You may also email for specific questions.
