About Me

As an Associate Vice President for Student Success at Mississippi College, I help guide the strategic direction for student retention initiatives and direct the Career Services department. My greatest joy is in helping students create effective personal brands to use their God-given strengths in academics, to serve the Lord and enjoy the journey while finding their life's calling.

I am the principal owner of a consulting practice, K2L Consulting,  where I work with corporations, colleges/univerisities and non-profit organizations who seek to reach their goals through leadership development, strategic planning and social media reputation management. The services I provide include developing vision/value statements, facilitating Board retreats, coaching CEO's on crisis communication, creating social media brand management plans and serving as a keynote speaker on these topics.

Prior to coming to MC, I spent 15 years in corporate communications, media relations, leadership development and marketing in the business world. I have been employed by the Chicago Tribune, Northwestern Mutual, and the U.S. Army. As a transplant to Mississippi from Wisconsin, I was honored and humbled to be named one of the top 50 businesswomen in Mississippi by the Mississippi Business Journal in 2011.

Some call me a fitness fanatic, since I am convinced that the mind, body, spirit and career are all connected. (Check out my blog!) I teach Spinning and Sculpt/Tone classes at the Baptist Healthplex in Clinton. I run for relaxation and have completed several 5Ks, marathons and half marathons.

The charitable organizations I support are the Alzheimers Association and Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation since I have family members affected by these conditions.
