Professor Martin Edwards joined MC Law in 2019 after teaching for two years at Tulane University Law School as a Forrester Fellow. Before joining the faculty at Tulane, he practiced law at Phelps Dunbar LLP in Jackson, Mississippi, served as a law clerk to Judge Leslie Southwick of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Mississippi Attorney General's Office.
Prof. Edwards' research interests include corporate law, financial technology, financial regulation, bargaining, and related subjects. His scholarship is forthcoming or has appeared in the University of Colorado Law Review, Penn State Law Review, and Administrative Law Review.
Prof. Edwards teaches Contracts and Business Associations, and also taught Administrative Law at MC Law in 2016.
