Assistant Professor - Teacher Education and Leadership
Dr. Jamilliah Longino is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education and Leadership. Dr. Longino joined MC’s faculty in 2017 and currently teaches Political Dimension of Leadership, Basics of School Finance and Fiscal Control of Schools, Comparative Philosophies of Education, and Instructional Supervision.
More than 18 years ago, Dr. Longino left a career that she enjoyed in the criminal justice field to pursue God’s call for her life: teaching. Her life has been filled immensely since that leap of faith. She has had the privilege to serve as a classroom teacher; building administrator; held various central office positions, including Assistant Superintendent; and appointed by the State Board of Education to serve as the Executive Director of School Improvement, leading all turnaround efforts for the state of Mississippi.
