Tricia Nelson is an Instructor of Paralegal Studies in the Department of History and Political Science. Nelson joined MC’s faculty in 2009 and currently teaches Intro to Law, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Famous Trials, and Real Property.

Nelson has been recognized as Paralegal of the Year by the Mississippi Paralegal Association and Volunteer of the Year by the MS Paralegal Association. She was awarded the Historic Preservation Program Award by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.

Nelson is a Mississippi Master Gardener, Preservation Consultant, Writer, and Genealogist. She attends CSUMC and volunteers at her local food pantry.
